Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Gi & No-Gi
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on techniques to control and submit an opponent through the use of joint locks and chokes. Checkmat Exeter offers both Gi and No-Gi classes to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the sport.
Gi classes involve wearing a traditional Jiu Jitsu uniform, while No-Gi classes are conducted without the uniform. Both classes offer unique benefits, with Gi classes focusing on improving grip strength and No-Gi classes emphasizing speed and agility.
